If you have completed your studies abroad, you need to have your certificates and/or diplomas evaluated regarding the Canadian educational norms. This procedure will allow you to provide a proof of a Canadian equivalence when you are ready to become a member. The APIIQ considers every diploma completed abroad that is comparable to the Canadian norms through a recognized diploma evaluation service. It is easier than it seems to obtain a Canadian equivalence. The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICDI) helps people who are wishing to have an evaluation of their diploma and their professional skills by redirecting them to the proper organization. The task of attributing equivalences does not belong to the CICDI, nor is it to intervene on behalf of an individual. You can visit the CICDI website at http://www.cicic.ca/ for more information. Their website offers links to many recognized Canadian organizations providing a diploma evaluation service. You can also reach the CICDI at: 95, St. Clair avenue West, suite 1106, Toronto (ON) M4V 1N6, Phone: (416) 962-9725, Email: info@cicic.ca
